Unlike most past shows talking about drugs and addiction, Euphoria has hit a particular spot for teenagers across our country. This way, it might encourage our students to do drugs even though they haven’t even thought of doing it in the first palace. This is particularly tricky, and this is why we have to refrain from doing these things.
While watching Euphoria doesn’t lead to drug addiction, we have to be wary of the implications that shows have on teen parties and our overall drinking culture.
Not only does Euphoria glorify addiction, but somehow, it also doesn’t shy away from the darker side of this life. There’s the gritty stuff, abuse, and the life-threatening nature of the drug trade, as we have seen on some of its episodes.
As adults, we should always be there for our teenagers or anyone who might come to us for help. It’s also great to have a talk with your children or your students about these kinds of things so the spread of misinformation can be prevented.
