2023 National Drugs And Alcohol Facts Week

2023 National Drugs And Alcohol Facts Week

National Drugs and Alcohol Facts Week is a yearly health observance that lasts for one week and encourages discussion about the science behind teenage drug use and addiction.

To enhance knowledge and increase prevention and awareness of substance abuse both locally and nationally, NDAFW offers a chance to bring together scientists, students, educators, healthcare professionals, and community partners.

NDAFW will start March 20-26, 2023!

What To Expect In National Drugs And Alcohol Facts Week?

The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) scientists who created it in 2010 wanted to encourage community-based teaching activities so teenagers may learn what research has revealed about drug use and addiction.

Since becoming a partner in 2016, the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism has added alcohol to the list of week’s topics. As a part of the National Institutes of Health, NIDA and NIAAA promote NDAFW by collaborating with notable institutions, the media, and other governmental entities.

NDAFW has different activities for everyone. They have arts and crafts, IQ challenges, learning activities, meeting new friends, and many more. Any institution like Mallard Lake Detox Center that supports the prevention of drug and alcohol addictions in teenagers can start, plan and register for the event on the official website of NDAFW.

Who are the Federal Partners of NDAFW?
